2013 Dragonette Cellars Rosé Santa Barbara $18.99

Winemaker tasting notes: “Beautiful light pink to copper color. On the nose, aromas of wild strawberry and raspberry, peach skin and blood orange, with a touch of pine and earth. On the palate, the wine delivers flavors of strawberry, raspberry, pear, nectarine, fuji apple and crenshaw melon, with acidity-inspired notes of orange peel and stony minerals. Light to medium bodied, but expressive and completely dry, the wine has a smooth velvety texture and a long, clean finish.”

2013 Tablas Creek Rosé “Patelin de Tablas” Paso Robles $17.99

The grapes for this year’s rosé were sourced from three limestone-rich regions of Paso Robles which provided the wine with mineral-laced fruit flavors and excellent acidity. The nose is full of the wild strawberry, rose petals and citrus. In the mouth, it shows the generous red fruit of Grenache kept clean by vibrant acidity and a spiced citrus note that comes out on the long finish. Drink chilled on a beautiful summer day.

2013 Chateau L’Afrique Côtes de Provence Rosé $18.99

60% Grenache, 30% Cinsault, 10% Syrah. Floral notes intermixed with cranberries, raspberries and straw-berries jump from the glass. The palate is remarkably light-bodied, with great crispness and freshness. A great quencher! Jim K.

2013 Domaine Sainte Lucie Cotes de Provence Rosé “MIP” $17.99

Always one of our favorite rosé’s year in and year out. Don’t get me wrong, the other rosé wines here are all very delicious. But, if I had to pick one, this would be the one. Light pink, salmon color with mouthwatering straw- berry and watermelon flavors. Crisp, refreshing and “oh so” good. Perfect summer sipper! Jim K.

2013 Domaine du Bagnol Cassis Rosé $23.99

The Rosé is produced from several parcels that comprise slightly less than 7 hectares of vineyards. The vineyards are clay and limestone, situated on a gentle slope with a north – northwest exposure. The blend is Grenache (55%), Mourvedre (31%) and Cinsault (14%). This Rosé is just simply delicious. Grab it before it’s gone because there is not a lot of it.

2013 Mas Jullien Coteaux du Languedoc Rosé $21.99

Another stunning pink wine! A bouquet of raspberry, cherry, tarragon and lavender, with a hint of cracked pepper. Full and fleshy but at the same time dry and focused, offering deep red berry and herbal flavors and a hint of minerality. Finishes broad and focused, with a repeating note of cherry. Delicious! 2013 Chateau La Galiniere Cotes de Provence Rose “Cuvee le Cengle” Vielles Vignes $12.99

A true value here! The aromatics are packed with fragrant raspberries, wild cherries and strawberries. The texture is filled with red fruits and it is very refined and savory with a medium body. The fresh finish is delightfully long with a stony mineral zing. Very refreshing!

2013 Chateau de la Liquiere “Mi Chemin” Pays de l’Herault Rose, Languedoc $11.99

This wine is well-balanced and elegant, with hints of cherry, raspberry and watermelon flavors. The palate has some richness in the mid-palate followed by some spicy notes on the crisp finish. Jim K.

2013 Liquid Farm Wines Rosé Vogelzang Vineyard Sta. Rita Hills $22.99

This small production rose from Liquid Farm just arrived. It’s 95% Mourvedre and 5% Grenache from Vogelzang vineyard in the beautiful Happy Canyon AVA. The name Liquid Farm was thought of long before there was wine in barrel. Wine is, after all, a product of the earth and the human touch. It is Liquid from Farming. The 2013 is extremely food friendly with flavors of orange rind, fresh gardenia, and fleur de sel and great minerality. Enjoy!

2013 Donkey & Goat Isabel’s Cuvée Grenache Rosé Mendocino $19.99

Named one of five “Winemakers to Watch for 2011” by Jon Bonée at the San Francisco Chronicle, Tracey & Jared trained in France, and their maverick winemaking has helped pave the way for the natural wine movement. The much anticipated pink wine made from 99+ year old Grenache Gris vines has arrived. This year they made 50% like a white wine (whole cluster press to neutral French Oak barrels) and 50% was de-stemmed and left to soak on the skins for 44 hours in an open top wood vat before pressing and then on to neutral barrels. A beautiful Rose that is just waiting to be open at your next party!

2013 LIOCO Rosé “Indica” Mendocino County $15.99

Coming from old vine, dry-farmed vines in the heart of Mendocino County, this dry rosé displays aromas of rose water, candied orange peel, and crushed chalk. The refreshing and crisp palate offers up notes of red currant, key lime, and pickled watermelon. Pair this tonight with some fresh oysters or simply drink it on its own by the beach on a sunny afternoon.
