2012 Bodegas Avancia Cuvee de O Godello $14.99
“Light, bright yellow. Expressive nose displays scents of fresh pear, yellow peach and honeysuckle, along with a smoky undertone. Rich, layered and expansive, with sappy pit fruit and spice flavors lifted by harmonious acidity. Really coats the palate with spice-accented fruit on the long, seamless finish. Broad and fleshy without coming across as heavy, and delicious right now.” 91 Points Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar
2012 Jorge Ordonez Botani Muscat Malaga, Andalucia $14.99
“Green-tinged straw. Highly perfumed aromas of honeydew, peach and white flowers, with a spicy overtone. Lithe, penetrating melon and white peach flavors show very good clarity and expand with aeration. At once fleshy and precise, finishing with strong punch and a refreshingly bitter jolt of orange pith.” 90 Points Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar
2012 Bodegas La Cana Albarino Rias Biaxas $14.99
“(half aged in stainless steel and half in large French oak): Light, bright yellow. High-pitched aromas of lime zest, lemongrass and jasmine, with a chalky topnote. Dry and tightly wound, offering energetic citrus and orchard fruit flavors that expand and deepen with air. Shows excellent energy on the finish, leaving behind lime and pear skin notes. Very grown-up in style, with no excess fat; it’s an amazing value to boot.” 91 Points Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar
2011 Bodegas Nekeas El Chaparral de Vega Sindoa Old Vine Garnacha Navarra $10.99
“(malo in small French oak, followed by five months of aging on its lees): Brilliant ruby. Highly perfumed, exotic aromas of black and blue fruits, vanilla and incense, with a floral overtone. Lush, expansive blackberry and boysenberry flavors stain the palate, picking up a smoky nuance with air. Velvety and broad but lively too, finishing with impressive breadth spicy persistence for its price range. All of these wines are ridiculous values, as they have been in most recent vintages.” 91 Points Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar

This wine delivers exceptional value, especially for its appellation.” 91 Points Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar
2010 Bodegas Borsao Campo de Borja Berola, Agricola De Borja $12.99
“The 2010 Berola is a blend of 70% Grenache, 20% Syrah and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon aged in a combination of American and French oak for ten months. It then spends a year in bottle prior to being released. A sleeper of the vintage, it reveals a deep ruby/purple color along with aromas of blackberries, black cherries, licorice and lavender. Full-bodied, rich, nicely textured and impressively pure, it can be enjoyed over the next 3-4 years.” 91 Points Wine Advocate
2011 Bodegas Volver Volver Single Vineyard La Mancha $13.99
“From holdings in La Mancha, the 2011 Volver (100% Tempranillo that spent 18 months in new French oak prior to being bottled unfiltered) is a 2,000-case cuvee that comes from a single vineyard. Abundant notes of acacia flowers intermixed with black currants and blackberries are offered in a flavorful, medium-bodied, slightly spicy format. A nicely textured mouthfeel, sweet tannin and a long finish suggest this stunning value will drink well for 3-4 years. Wines such as this normally sell for $30-$50 a bottle, but this beauty is priced just over $16.” 91 Points Wine Advocate

Energetic red fruit flavors show excellent balance and sweetness, picking up floral pastille and mineral nuances with air. Finishes clean and precise, nicely framed by smooth, harmonious tannins. In a distinctly elegant style, especially for the vintage.” 92 Points Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar
2011 Bodegas Volver Triga Alicante $37.99
“(85% monastrell and 15% cabernet sauvignon; malo and aging in 80% French and 20% American oak): Opaque purple. Explosive black and blue fruit aromas are complicated by notes of licorice, Indian spices and floral oils. Rich and expansive but showing unlikely finesse thanks to bright acidity. Sweet blueberry and cassis flavors stain the palate and linger on a very long, intensely spicy, focused finish. Australian winemaker Chris Ringland consults here.” 92 Points Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar
